Annually, numerous devotees embark on this sometimes challenging trek to catch a glimpse of one of the holiest destinations. Adi Kailash, being one of the Panch Kailash, has the power to purify one’s inner self with just a darshan, leading to enlightenment. Another noteworthy legend about Adi Kailash revolves around Ravana, the demon king of Lanka, who meditated and prayed to Lord Shiva at this very spot. His devotion earned him the blessing of 20 arms and the intellect of 10 heads from the Supreme God of Creation and Destruction.
